So basically it's an alternative wiki, not a "rival" wiki. Fair enough.

Alternate Troll Response: So, you're TV Tropes' Evil Twin? (Kidding.)

Good to hear this. Have a partner site that to keep the data we no longer can is great thing.

Good luck.

I personally commend you for this. I never saw your site as a rival site, rather a TVTropes archive in which things that got removed from Tropes (Tropes pages, Work pages, Real Life examples) may have a chance to be on that wiki.

I also thought that talking about the Mirror Wiki was sort of banned. Though that's mostly because of what I've heard about the situation between Mirror Tropes and Prime Tropes. But I'm glad to see it's not. I think most of the problems surrounding people who cry They Changed It, Now It Sucks! can be solved by saying "There's the Mirror Wiki, and that's keeping the thing that was changing in it's original form."

I'm glad to see I've gotten some good replies to this.

And Psyga315, you hit the nail on the head with my intentions concerning the Tropes Mirror Wiki. I see it as an archive/nostalgia site for those who don't like the changes here, and I would rather see our sites respect each other instead of snarl at each other, so I've been trying to enforce respect for TVT's copyright (mostly by removing plagiarism) and tone down or remove any spiteful references to TV Tropes on the TMW, mostly because I feel it's immature and counterproductive to both sites, and besides, I just want to get along with TV Tropes despite any differences in opinion I may have on it's current direction.

And I'm glad to see you guys don't have any harsh feelings toward the Mirror Wiki either, so I left a nice message of my own on our Made Of Win page.

Exactly. The moderators are not the site. A lot of people, like myself, also don't care for the way the moderators run things, but at the same time we don't think it's so bad that we need to flee to another site - it's just moderately obnoxious at worst. Hating all of us because a moderator made a call you disagree with would be really, really petty.

And conversely, as someone who thinks the vast majority of the changes are for the better, I would like to say that I very much appreciate your willingness to acknowledge that reasonable people can disagree with one another, even on the internet.
