You might be thinking of "This is My Heart" by Sunstorm. The chorus is
And it gets what it needs any answers to no one
This is my heart and it's got to be true
To where I believe anything's will come by me
Nobody but me
That's sort of close to what you wrote, and there is another line that reads
I don't think it had improper grammar. And I know it said "thinks for nobody but me".cThen again, I'm also convinced it's by the same people who did Fist Full of Heat (which they wrote). Maybe the lyrics are just wrong.
Edit: You're right. But I believe it's credited to Joe Lynn Turner, who was the singer at the time. I'm listening now and all the lyrics sites butcher the actual lyrics.

I heard a song on Pandora and can't find the name again. It was a sort of rock power-ballad type with male vocals. The only non-chorus lyrics I can remember were "you've told all your friends I'm just what you needed". The chorus was:
This is my heart
and it knows what it wants
it gets what it needs
and it thinks for nobody, but me
