Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Well, I am not that sure myself... There is one special effort thread that wants to remove "This Troper" and referring to yourself from audience reaction tropes like Tear Jerker and similar. A link for those who are interested.
Dethroning Moment of Suck explicitly states that is must be signed, otherwise it will be deleted.
I am now peeking at Most Triumphant Example pages. It says it should be signed, and most entries are, but not all. So I am wondering.
Edited by XFlloLooking at the "A" subpage, it seems to me like they all should be signed.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenShould one delete the unsigned examples or put them in comment markup? I remember seeing Zero Context Example cleanup want the latter (unless it was rampant throughout the article). I don't have a link to the thread, but still...
From Most Triumphant Example subpages:
Oh, several things before you list examples:
- Each troper gets one example per trope, no more.
- Don't go "no, this is," or phrases like that. This is about our own personal favorites.
- Sign your entries.
Emphasis mine.
So, should unsigned ones be deleted or commented out?
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I think that if you can find from the page's history, you should sign those entries in the Tropers' stead, but otherwise they should be commented out until the Troper who added them notices and signs them.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.

When I notice unsigned entries on gushing pages that are supposed to be signed, can I remove them myself, or is it better to bring them here? Thank you.
