Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I believe Lets Plays of a work would count as trivia for that work, in the same way that Abridged Series of a work count as trivia for that work.
I'm with Fast Eddie, though from the opposite direction, perhaps... Let's Plays can be useful ways to access the work so people can check out the existing tropes and add new ones, especially if the game is hard to get a hold of and/or run on modern computers. It's akin to linking to a webcomic's strips for context to me.
That said, I wouldn't be that cut up if they had to be moved to the Trivia tabs.
Edited by ArkadyDarellFrom a completely outside viewpoint - aka one of someone who has never so much as completed a level of a videogame in her life - I'll throw my hat in for Trivia. It's not a variable audience reaction inspired by the work, which AFAIK is what a YMMV trope is. Just my 2c!
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart. Thanks for the replies.
@Fast Eddie: I still think it's kind of pointless, since pretty much every game in existence has been let's played. At the very least it shouldn't be listed as a trope. "Trivia" would be great as people mentioned, but I'll leave it for now.
Edited by supergod For we shall slay evil with logic...I once used Fanfic Recs to list a LP that I enjoyed. Maybe that?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That's an idea. Lets Play Recs might be worth a page since many games have multiple LPs.
Edited by DracMonsterI like the Lets Play Recs idea. Let's Plays aren't quite fanfic, plus you wouldn't necessarily think to look for it on the fanfic tab (I wouldn't, anyway).
More to the point, getting people to look at Fanfic Recs for LP's is as simple as putting them there. There's no need for a new namespace to do what amounts to exactly the same thing. An LP is, by definition, a fanwork related to a video game.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Let's put it this way. Better to lump 'em under fanfics than make a new subpage that will just have to be merged when we discover that it's an exact duplicate. If you think we should change fanfic recs to fanwork recs, great, pop over to the forums and suggest it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

Should Let's Play be listed on a work's page as a trope? Seems kind of pointless as it has nothing to do with the work itself. The Kings Quest VI page is an example. I edited it out, but it was added back.
