The first game might be any of the Final Fantasy Legend titles. A recurring theme is that monsters have meat as a random drop, and a party member can eat it to change form or increase stats, depending on the mechanics of the specific game. Here are some extra details from the Final Fantasy Wiki for the trilogy.

It was definitely one of the Final Fantasy Legend titles I played - thank you so much!

Could that be the third one? I have the same memory, so I know you're not making it up (unless we both are). If not, was it possibly a loading screen for Toe Jam and Earl...? I remember playing that with my cousins for hours, and I know it had dancing hula girls...

The third game sounds like Chuck Rock.

Regarding the second one, can't help you with which compilation it appeared on, but the smiley face game may have been Arcy 2.

I don't know the compilation, being the only one I had growing up was the first Games Empire disc, but if I were you, I'd look for In Search of Dr. Riptide.

Hmm... if both of those are games on it, there's a decent change it's "GCW Games for DOS", although that link takes you a discussion with someone else in search of it. It might be the one here but I can't download the ISO to check right now.

Could the second be something from the MS Puzzle Pack or other collections they made in that era?
