Two books that have been bothering me for years now:
1. Historical Romance, probably set in England? (it seemed like Europe and was definitely written in English) this woman had a previous husband who died while having sex with her, then falls in love with or seduces or is seduced by some lord or other who's known for being a rake and such. At one point she is led to believe the lord is keeping some other woman but he isn't. Can't remember much else D:
2. Contemporary Romance, I'm pretty sure the main characters were all African-American... anyway... wealthy businessman marries a salesclerk, she can't have children because of some medical condition that causes her to stop being fertile despite being rather young, he doesn't like her anymore and wants to get divorced. She wants him to consider adoption, but little does she know he's scheming to get her to cheat on him so he doesn't have to give her half his assets. So he pays this other man to basically get his wife to have sex with him, and he also takes some kind of pill so he won't ever be sexually aroused to make her feel terrible because he's a megadouche. In the meantime he cheats on her with his secretary. Wife finds out about his scheme, secretary spills the beans, she ends up taking like a fourth of his assets or something after the divorce. Yep. I still have no idea what the title is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
