I doubt this is it, but the first one reminds me a bit of the first episode of the series "The Tomorrow People". The "classic" series, from 1973. There is a scene where Carol basically "mind melds" with Stephen, and all sorts of strange images are shown for "psychedelic" effect. These images are used in the rest of the series as the opening sequence.
The second one might be the Angels & Demons or The Da Vinci Code movie; IIRC the protagonist had a Mickey Mouse watch in the book at least.

These are movies I never saw but I saw segments about them in a "making of" show in the early '90s. I think the same show covered the making of House II, one of the Terminator films, and one of the Piranha films.
1. A sci-fi or fantasy film where a man and woman mind meld. There is videotape of real microorganisms in the background for psychedelic effect.
2. A scene where a man is bleeding from one hand. A drop of blood falls into a pool on the floor in slow motion. There's also a closeup of his Mickey Mouse watch. A scene in Pink Floyd: The Wall reminded me of it, but that's not the same movie I'm remembering.
