No you don’t need to pay, staying logged in as you are right now on a free account allows you to continue using an ad blocker without the message triggering. It only triggers for logged-out users.
Are you using private browsing tab in Firefox? Or have the Firefox built-in ad blocker on when you aren’t logged in?
Both the little shield icon in the top left next to the URL or browsing in a private tab can trigger the anti-ad block code since it blocks some of the ad networks from working.

I haven't been able to use the site for a while, as even when I switch my adblocker off (I'm using the extension Adblock Plus on Firefox), I get a message saying that I'm blocking ads and have to either switch adblock off or pay for Premium. Unfortunately I can't afford Premium right now, so is there any way to fix this?
