Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
You can just ask ~Wojnicz directly, who should be using edit reasons anyway.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt might be an attempt to follow the advice on Weblinks Are Not Examples, but that's primarily for when video links are used as a substitute for adequate context.
"Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')> that's primarily for when video links are used as a substitute for adequate context
In some cases, this was the very reason I removed links, the other being the fact that there are already links to the team's channels on the show's main page, making most of the links redundant, and they weren't used consistently anyway. The ones I haven't deleted are mainly for videos from other channels than theirs.
Edited by WojniczSeveral had timestamps though, those were useful for specific moments in long videos.
^ You may want to give Weblinks Are Not Examples a read.
The idea is every example needs to give context without requiring people to go to another website for context. Granted Wojnicz should have listed proper editing reasons and could have considered commenting out zero-context examples instead of just purging things outright.
ZCEs including those from weblinks can always be commented out so that another troper can provide the proper context if they come across the item to comment it back into an example list.
I mean, looking at the deletions, I'm not sure I'd call most of them ZCE? Linking to the video isn't inherently a weblinks violation.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall^ I'd say yes. If the links supplement the context provided (as Weblinks Are Not Examples states), then there's no problem.
Pinball cleanup thread

On the Joueur du Grenier subpages, there's
been
a bunch
of deletions of links to the videos the example is referencing.
As far as I can tell the videos were all still up, most from the official Youtube account and there's no edit reason given, should this be reverted? There were some other changes made as well.
