Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I agree about their third comment, but unless I’m asleep at the wheel over here, the first two comments seemed like they were in favor of liberal views? I don’t have a good answer for why they responded to years-old posts with conservative leanings, though.
There's nothing wrong with them pointing out that certain tropes and stereotypes do indeed negatively impact men, that one post they were responding to feels kinda charged and biased in the opposite direction. We should avoid raising the MRA flag simply because someone argues that men are affected by these things, not just women.
...Their other two posts though, yeah, they're a big yikes and any valid points they might maybe be trying to make are just inevitably lost in the noise.
Edited by WarJay77 Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI'm also wondering why there are now thumbs up on year-old posts in those discussion pages.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Anyway, they are suspended now.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman^^ Right, individual points might be acceptable on their own, but at best they're a dogwhistle. Taken collectively, there's no way an agenda isn't being furthered here.
Anyway. Locking as resolved.

are responding to years-old discussion pages and making either MRA or right-wing crank posts. No edits, no forum posts. Just three discussion posts that collectively say that the real discrimination is against men and the liberals make up anything else.
