The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at the Trope Launch Pad.
I think it's more along the lines of a Gameplay and Story Segregation subtrope. In-story, the character is acknowledged as deceased (is either Dead All Along or dies during the events of the story), but you are still able to pull for them in the gacha and add them to your combat party. An example is Anaxa from Honkai: Star Rail, who died in-story first and was only added to the gacha in the next patch.

Is there such a trope for Gacha Games? It's when a character explicitly dies in-story, but you can still use them in combat (or they even become playable only after dying in-story, such as some Honkai: Star Rail characters).
