Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Yeah, no, this is not on. Unless it’s part of a Self-Demonstrating Article, a quote, or otherwise appropriate, the requirement for trope and work pages is to use standard English, so that the page reads like a single person wrote them. Given most people don’t use/wouldn’t be familiar with cowpoke slang, cowpoke slang would definitely break immersion.
Edited by ParadoxicGiven that they've been reported twice before at ATT for this issue and are still at it anyway, it doesn't seem as if they're heeding notifiers or taking advice. Very unfortunate.

I've come across the user Amoridere. Bizarrely, they seem to have a habit of using cowpoke speak in their entries. From scrolling randomly through their edit history, i noticed:
This manner of talking seems to extend even into their edit reasons. So it seems like they're either using their account to roleplay an OC or something, or transcribing exactly how they talk in real life instead of just using the words that they mean. Either way, this seems like it'd be blatantly against the rules for a wiki, right?
I should also mention that i don't feel it would help to simply fix the edits and send a notifier, as they've been reported on ATT two times before (here
, and here
). They failed to get what they were doing wrong both of those times, and one of them was even about this exact same issue. Their response was basically "I dont see anything wrong with my edits and this feels like a personal attack against me, so i'll stick to just editing headscratcher pages", as seen here
.
