That should cover it. I didn't find it because it's not part of the Mistaken for Index.

One character does something daring, and another tries to warn them of danger. But the first character mistakes their warning for encouragement or enthusiasm. I have seen this used for comedy and for drama.
For example, Alice is surfing in the ocean. Bob sees a shark approaching Alice and excitedly jumps, waving and pointing. Alice cannot hear Bob from his place on the shore, so Alice mistakenly thinks Bob is jumping and pointing because he is impressed, which encourages Alice to continue or maybe even to try riskier moves.
I tried Mistaken for Index and the closest thing I found is Poor Communication Kills, which seems very broad. Is there anything more specific?
