I'm also not familiar with either work, however the film section on the YMMV page mentions the names Dormer, Ellie and Finch, which are mentioned on the page for the Norwegian movie, so it must be referring to that version of Insomnia.
Edit: Checked the other subpages and the same thing applies, all of the "film" sections refer to the norwegian film
Edited by NoName404 "This forum signature likes to refer to itself, as well as to the fact that it likes to refer to itself"^ Hm. That makes it easier. Any ideas on what the Norwegian film should be renamed as?
EDIT: I'll start working on the fic as soon as I get on my laptop. Might as well start from somewhere.
EDIT 2: OK I made the page Insomnia (Majora's Mask), corrected all the links and sent the original to the cutlist. Now I'll clear the YMMV pages and throw everything to YMMV.Insomnia Majoras Mask.
EDIT 3: Wait, did someone turn Fanfic.Insomnia into a redirect? I hope there's no issue...
EDIT 4: There was only a Headscratchers thing, not any YMMV stuff, so I moved it. Now to see what to do with the book and movie.
Edited by Lermis Space Battles Dot Com fanworks (now oficial) index in my Sandbox.Yeah, that was me. With disambiguations of works we usually leave the redirects so that external links can access the new page easier.
As for the other works, I'm thinking of moving the norwegian film to Film.Insomnia 1997 and create Film.Insomnia 2002 as a redirect indicating the American remake.
Edited by animuacidUm, I sent Fanfic.Insomnia to the cutlist before I saw you made the redirect, so there might be a problem there. I don't really know how redirects work even after it was explained to me at least three times.
Edited by Lermis Space Battles Dot Com fanworks (now oficial) index in my Sandbox. There isn't a problem because I don't see it in the Cut List and I don't think it should be cut.
The other moves can be requested in the page history moves thread
.
In addition to ^^, I agree with moving the book to Literature.Insomnia 1994 and I don't see that a film adaptation exists for it.
Maybe I screwed up with the wikiword. I always had an issue with one word titles to the cultist for some reason.
I'll google the book again, maybe I misread something.

I also posted this on the appropriate thread, but I figured there is no harm in posting here as well; especially since I fear this needs some manpower.
There are currently three different works with the titme Insomnia, and the situation is... tricky. The situation with the wicks and the merged subpages is odd.
For the Stephen King novel, it's easy enough to rename it to Insomnia (1994). This tricky part is that the book also has a movie adaptation, and out of the 70+ wicks that link to Film.Insomnia I'm not sure how many are about the Stephen King novel and how many are about the Norwegian movie. Also, Literature.Insomnia has 100 wicks, so that may take a minute to edit.
The Norwegian movie was originally made in 1997, but also has a 2002 American remake. This is mentioned int he summary. I'm pretty sure that the page covers both the original and the remake, which means that we can't name the page Insomnia (1997) or Insomnia (2002), both would be misleading. And there is the above-mentioned wick issue; it's likely that not all of them are about this movie.
The fanfic is easy, Insomnia (Majora's Mask). It's a The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask novelization after all. We could throw in the author's name in the parenthesis instead, but in my experience those can change, and it's kind of a tongue twister. Only 8 wicks here, nothing to worry about.
What IS there to worry about are the subpages. There are moments, YMMV and other subpages, and they are all merged. Because I'm unfamiliar with anything but the fic, I'm not sure if the seperation "the book" and "the movie" means "the stephen king book and the norwegian movie" or "the book and movie verions of the Stephen King novel". And of course there's stuff from the fic thrown in there too.
Does anyone have any opinions on this?
