The trope has a five-year waiting period, and the film came out in 2021, so it doesn't count anyway. Sent the troper a "recent examples" notifier.
Edited by Riolugirl "Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')I know that film has something of a Broken Base, but Chastain has often been considered the best part of the film. Calling it a Star-Derailing Role is going too far and is based on a bias.
Do not mess with creatures which you do not understand.

On the Trivia page of The Eyes of Tammy Faye, someone had added
that the film was a Star-Derailing Role for Jessica Chastain and calling her Oscar win one of the worst wins in recent years. I was not aware that said film or the win was hated, so I have to ask is there any truth in this statement(s), or is it possibly someone is accentuating the negative based on their own bias?
