I admit to knowing next to nothing about the One Piece dubs because the manga series has always seemed too aggressively silly for my tastes, but I think the rule you're looking for is Speculative Troping. Unless there's actual IRL evidence that this is what 4Kids was planning to do with "Dub Piece", the second example block can safely be cut. And if that evidence comes from producer statements rather than, say, published scripts or episodes that were filmed but never aired, it's What Could Have Been.

There are no producers statements, the speculation arises from the fact that 4kids REALLY cut out a MASSIVE amount of stuff that turned out to be extremely important down the line, and its only natural to assume it would create plotholes.

But this entry DOES work if we do think the entirety of the "TV Deal Dub Piece" was MEANT to be in continuity with each other, If Funimation had continued...Wait no, nevermind that's just "It could have caused plot holes down the line" again. But this has never really been adressed. We need to know if this is misuse.
