Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

No, and in fact those gags are forbidden now that Sturgeon's Law is In-Universe Examples Only.
It's policy whether you put the reminder in or not. I wouldn't be opposed to leaving it out and seeing whether it changes anything.
I don't believe there's any rule one way or the other. Personally, I wouldn't bother until there were a couple dozen.
The fanfic itself will be linking to the author anyway, so I'd say it doesn't matter.
Anything that violates The Content Policy. Basically, no Porn Without Plot and no explicit sex involving under-16s.
*shrug* When it seems like a good idea. If we felt a need for a formal rule about this we'd put it with the other formal rules.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.

Not exactly about a trope, but I don't know if there's a more appropriate place to ask. I joined recently, so I'm still getting the hang of the site. I want to make a rec list for a work that so far doesn't have one, but I don't know some things... I have checked out some examples from other pages and read some Administratrivia, but I still have doubts:
Is it necessary to link Sturgeon's Law at the start?
Do I have to put "No-name recommendations will be zapped. Nobody would back up the rec"? I saw it done in all fic recs I've checked out minus two, so I don't know if it's mandatory. Besides, the template doesn't have it, so...
Do I organize them on folders? Do I need a minimum of examples to create a folder or something similar?
Do I have to link to the author too or just the name without a link is fine? With the link to the fanfic, of course.
What kind of fanfics should NOT be put in the page under any circumstances?
Considering the four folders that come in the page template (Authors and Websites, General Fics, Crossover Fics, and Shipping Fics), how can I determine that another folder has to be made?
If you want to leave additional advice, I'm all ears. Thank you in advance.
