Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Wouldn't scope decisions fit Wiki Talk? I still don't really know what does or doesn't go on WMG.
To answer the question, I'm a big not a fan of speculation that isn't even about the plot. The wiki is about fiction, so guesses about the creators would fit the forums better.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWe can take it to a thread there if it needs that discussion. I don't think we've had any active WMG wiki talk thread in the last few years, although forum search is still suboptimal.
This ATT is mostly just a starting point to gauge views and see if anyone remembers previous discussion on this - then we can take it to a thread if there's no previous answer.

Bringing this over from the WMG cleanup thread
:
It's well established that WMG shouldn't veer into Real Life Troping about musicians and other creators, but do we have a consensus view on 'meta' WMG, speculation about casting and production rather than about the work itself?
We've got a few WMG pages that speculate about these topics — which character an announced actor might be playing, which creative team will work on a comic or who might direct a sequel to the film.
Should these be in scope for WMG? Or is it purely for discussing the fictional elements of the work?
