What do you remember about the show?

Reminds me of Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up / never gonna let you down". But I guess you'd have remembered the original Rick Roll, wouldn't you?

Yes, I would have remembered that. :)

The second line might be "I'm (something) you now" but at this point I think I'm making up words. But I think the word "something" is the right length for whatever goes there. So it would be "I won't give up / I'm (something) you now / blank blank blank blank / I let you down."

What kind of genre was the second song? Was it a country song too? Was it fast or slow paced, and did you notice any particular instruments, whether it was electronic sounding or a bit rock, or a bit folk or a slower ballad?

Just though this might help!

For some reason the first thing I thought of on the second one was Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping" (the chorus is "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down"), but I looked up that Red song and it sounded absolutely nothing like it, so...

The second song is Rock or Pop, I think. I get the feeling it's some sort of softer Pop that I'd be ashamed of listening to. It was slower. And the vocalist had a softer sort of voice that I can't place as either male or female. Kind of like Savage Garden or something like that.

Oh, and I think it had a piano in there. I think the piano went sort unison with the melody in the third line (the "blank blank blank blank" one). And the third word there is shorter than the others. Daah Daah Dah Daah. I can hear it in my head, but I fear my explanations are only making things more muddled.

Maybe someone like David Gray or James Blunt?

A quick google ('song finding a buffalo nickel') tells me your Buffalo song is probably this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D17ItviO-nc

@Gleeb: Whoa! That's totally it! I guess my searches weren't vague enough or something. Thanks for solving one of my life's great mysteries!

Could the other one be Muse - Endlessly? "'ll love you endlessly hopelessly I'll give you everything but I won't give you up I won't let you down and I won't leave you falling If the moment ever comes"

Nope, not Muse. I can hear the tune so clearly in my head, it's driving me crazy that I can't figure it out. The funny thing is, I don't think I even LIKE the song. It just bugs me I can't remember it.

Oh my god, I found it. I only had some of the words right, but I finally googled just the right ones. Turns out it was Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Fqn9du7xo Whew. My brain hurts a little.
