I wouldn’t know, but the fact that it’s a sequel to a previous episode seems like normal story progression. The vendetta part is probably covered by some revenge trope.
I live to breatheThe series has very little story progression. It's the same main characters (one is replaced between sessions 2 and 3), the same place, but very few cases of Call-Back or major changes in the setting or the characters. Status Quo Is God is maintained very well except the season 2-3 boundary and the pregnancy of one of the characters during season 3. You could watch just about any episode from season 4 onwards out of order and not realize it (although there are a few 2-part episodes as well as one 4-part episode with 2 separate names on a season boundary).

A new administrator takes over a hospital, and clearly has a vendetta against the protagonist: he fires several of this docrot's friends and eventually this doctor himself. At the end, it turns out that this is personal revenge against the protagonist: the protagonist had previously discovered that the administrator's girlfriend had murdered a Serial Rapist, making it look like he died in a traffic accident. The accident, and the murder of the Serial Rapist, are covered by an episode in the same franchise.
