Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

As someone who doesn't know Saw III, this feels like it may warrant a rudeness notifier and an invitation of Tyler here to debate if it counts or not.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSent Tyler a notifier, though from what I can see in their edit history, their only two edits so far was that removal, alongside this one from Awesome.Saw II with exact same edit reason as the other:
- After seeing Jigsaw walk away from all his actions at the end of the first film, seeing Eric Matthews give him a damn good beating was satisfying.
I'm not really sure if they're active enough on the wiki for them to notice my notifier.
Edited by Inky100 A lot of good you did me.It's still good to send one (as you did) for the mod's records.
Also I'd be in favour of restoring the entries. Moments pages are subjective after all unless it's wildly factual incorrect, I wouldn't delete them, not just for disagreeing with them.
Edited by dcutter2The original reason Eric was targeted by Jigsaw was due to police brutaltiy, iirc, and his actions in the second film where he gives in to to his violent urges does directly lead to his capture and eventual death, so from that angle I can understand the reasoning. However, moments pages are YMMV, so some people clearly do find him fighting back against the Jigsaws to be awesome and entries shouldn't be removed on another person's opinon alone.
Edited by ZarinaI think that the deletion was unjustified.

ValdoThis query hasn't had activity for a few days and the consensus is that the removal is unjustified. May I go ahead and restore the deleted entries, then?
A lot of good you did me.I think you have enough agreement from others to restore the entries.
^ Already done.
A lot of good you did me.
On August 25th of this year, TylerFG96 deleted the following Saw III entry from Awesome.Saw, with the edit reason: "Tell me you missed the point of Eric Matthews' arc without telling me you missed the point of Eric Matthews' arc."
Even as someone who knows a lot about the Saw series, I'm not really sure how this is supposed to "miss the point of an arc" like Tyler is saying. Sure enough, things go worse for Eric after that moment, but the Awesome pages for the series feature plenty of similar examples citing moments of determination from characters who end failing one way or another, and I can agree this is still a good Awesome example either way, being Eric's Defiant to the End attempt against Amanda (and to a lesser extent, John).
Does anyone else have opinions about this removed example?
