What do you remember about the show?

Yeah, I think I read that one too. It had, like, words in it. And a plot or something. And some characters and a setting.

I think the copy I had had a cover on it, and I checked it out from the library.

I don't remember the title, but maybe someone else will remember.

What are you, dumb or something? That is obviously not Jane Eyre! It's Victor Hugo's Les Misérables!

Are you sure? I rather thought the original poster was trying to recall Great Expectations, but I could be wrong...

Sounds like Naked Lunch to me. Oh wait, it had an actual plot...hmmm I'd venture to guess it was The Rainbow Fish (I'm always mixing those two up)

Are you sure you aren't confusing this with Anime? Or maybe Western Animation? I have some suggestions for you if that's the case, but otherwise I admit you have me stumped.

First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

Clinker, I said it had a "plot or something". I THINK it had a plot, but it could have been something else that I am misremembering as a plot.

I think the OP and I will have to read all these books people have suggested to see whether any of them are the book we are remembering.
