The dropdown is just a shortcut. You don't need to use it to make a subpage.

However, Memetic Mutation examples don't need to be split off from the YMMV subpage until there are a lot of them.

The alternative way to make pages is to change the URL. Like, if I wanted to make a meme page for, let's say for example, Brawl in the Family, I would take the part in the URL that says Webcomic and replace that with Memes, which will lead to Memes.Brawl In The Family and prompt me to create that page.

But you also need to make sure there's enough content for a subpage. There's no hard rule, but I'd say like seven or so memes is a soft minimum since Memetic Mutation entries tend to be pretty short.
