i'm not sure what this is asking. are you saying that RWBY should be on the Western Animation index? because the show is produced by an indie web studio, not a known Western animation producer. i'm not sure what mouth animation has to do with that.

Also, OP just made a tropeless stub.

And have two edits under his name, despite allegedly joining 3 years ago (?)

Our namespaces are rather arbitrary, and if we ever get TVTropes 2.0 we'll likely replace them with a tagging system. But for now, RWBY is in Web Animation because that's how it was broadcast.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.

Rooster Teeth's original animated works are WebAnimation/, but Crunchyroll's are WesternAnimation/. I can see where the confusion comes from.

I said Western 'cause it's animation their mouths don't move like you see in animes and/or more for "dubbing only." Camp Camp had Western Animation to it too, unless if it's just "'web' animation."

You seem to be arguing that RWBY isn't Japanese. This is true. Therefore, namespacing it as anime would be incorrect.

However, it is not namespaced as anime, on account of the fact that it is not anime.

Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.

  • Anime/ - TV cartoons produced in Japan
  • Western Animation/ - TV cartoons produced in Europe and USA
  • Animation/ - TV cartoons produced elsewhere
  • Web Animation/ - Cartoons distributed online first.

OP, you seem to have different idea how "animation" is classified from how the site does. We don't go by style. For a style Animesque is a trope that can be mentioned where applicable.
