I don't know if this counts as a trope, exactly, but i've seen it so many times. Someone types a message expressing their true feelings, then erases it and types a more diplomatic or "acceptable" response. The one example I have seen (in Emily Is Away) classifies it under Last-Second Word Swap, but this is very much a messaging/texting trope. I'm not even sure this is a trope, exactly, but it doesn't seem like a People Sit On Chairs thing.
