That's how I've often seen them sorted. Here is an example of Castle in the Sky in Film — Animated, since it's a self-contained production, while here is an example of Eiga Tamagotchi: Himitsu no Otodoke Dai Sakusen! in Anime and Manga (it's part of the Tamagotchi franchise).

At least for Quote Source, they have their own folder on the Film — Animated page.

According to the Administrivia page Media Categories FAQ, our current policy is that all animated films are under the category Films - Animation.
