Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Worth noting the unilateral change was Nov 2017, but the troper who made it (Dragon Quest Z) didn't post in the forums after Jan 2016.
Which does make it look very unilateral.
Edited by Mrph1I can't find any thread where an official stance on that particular detail about supertrope - subtrope relations was officialized.
We have the Outdated Administrivia Pages general thread here so the discussion can be taken there. Not completely if it's something that's big enough to have its own but maybe. Either way, in-depth discussion needs to be taken to Wiki Talk.
Macron's notes
This pointed out that the rule/policy that tropes are not to be listed if their more specific sub-tropes apply was added citing "The forums are discussing the parameters of sub trope and super trope examples" but not linking said forum which is normal for such changes.
Anyone know of said forum decision? Or was this too unilateral a change? What to do given this is a big part of this wiki's policy that's effected.
