Okay, so there's this one memory I have from when I was very young, that involves a particular musical movie, and one song from it. A piece of this particular song pops into my head every once in a while, but I've never been able to find the full song anywhere, even after multiple Google attempts, and it's been bugging me for a long time. It was over twenty years ago, and I was very young at the time, so it's very possible I was imagining it.
What I do remember is that a portion of this movie was playing on the TV one afternoon. It was sometime in the 90s, probably early to mid 90s, and we did not have cable at home at that time, just the Philadelphia area local network broadcasts.
The movie in question was a live action musical. I vaguely remember it being based on, or at least named after, a well-known fairy tale, but I could be mistaken about that. What I mostly remember is this one song with the main lyric being "I will never ever ever see you again", or some variation of that - I often remember it as "I will never ever ever see this child again", but based on everything else, I think the former is closer to correct. The only other thing I remember is that there were two characters singing the song and they took turns, so both of them had a chance to sing the above lyric. The two characters were not on friendly terms, so the song was surprisingly upbeat.
I thought it odd they would be singing about something like that, and asked my mom, but that's where my memory ends. If this is a real movie/song, does anyone know of it? Thanks.
