Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

I only saw the film once, but I'll agree that 'she totally planned for them to steal the thing' is Speculative Troping. I broadly agree that there are a lot of overstatements in these entries.
What should I do? Try to rewrite the ones that aren't misuses or just redelete all?
Regardless, the film specifically shows her gloating that she knew they'd "make it personal", and the montage shows her going through the security system, showing she was aware of the precautions against them. Plus she's Governor. Even if she didn't straight up initiate the WPSST or gambit them into going after it, she knew there was a probability they'd come and brushed it off because of the preparations made. The photo being used to get through the same security access counts for the getting outsmarted part.
I will relent that some of those entries imply more proactive involvement than the film confirms, but ones like Tempting Fate and Fatal Flaw merely note her complacency about the Bad Guys which definitely WAS demonstrated, not to mention note other elements of the film unrelated to that scene (Marmalade DOES capture Diane, while the Crimson Paw's whole bragging right is never getting caught in a heist). Her setting off the plot by mocking them on TV definitely did happen too.
Edited by Psi001What montage? There is one tiny scene where she goes into a locked room and then we see the guards punch a fly.
The problem isn't that the film doesn't imply that she might know. The problem is you keep acting like it is a fact instead of a theory. And as the mod points out, your entries are overstatements.
The heist montage, not the montage of her.
And I get that, but the problem is you're taking out ENTIRE trope entries for that when they still factor to her character otherwise, which feels just as counter productive. You can easily edit that down, especially since as mentioned, she still unambiguously underestimated the Bad Guys and got outsmarted over it, the legitimacy of those tropes don't hinge on her intentionally gambitting them.
Edited by Psi001Regardless, this is an edit war on Psi's part. They, at the very least, added and re-added this paragraph:
- Complacency. She's a Consummate Professional that has never been caught, and as a result underestimates any strategy besides her's and doesn't bother to make any back up plan. This gets her into trouble on both occasions she is finally outsmarted, having never had a plan get outdone before and thus having no idea how to improvise around it, leaving her panicing helpless until an outside force saves her. This tends to be exclusive to the strategic end of things however, on the physical end, she's a nimble fighter and stuntsman even in a pinch.
Suspended Psi 001 for edit warring.
Macron's notes
Characters. The Bad Guys 2022. Psi 001 keeps insisting that Diane knew that the Bad Guys would attack the Golden Dolphin ceremony (while she might have suspected, we don't know that she actually planned them to do so).
I didn't know whether or not to put this under Is this an Example thread even though I suspect at least A Taste of Defeat is a misuse. At the very least, I think the entries should be rewritten to be a little more neutral.
Crazy-Prepared:
- During the Good Samaritan Awards, she makes conspicuously clear she knows the Bad Guys are going to try some revenge scheme for her earlier trash talk. It is revealed she has the Golden Dolphin guarded by the "Wolf Piranha Snake Shark Tarantula" (or "WPSST") Protection System, aided by multiple software securities that Webs just barely overrides in time.
