I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I'll take a stab at it— it's not the entire plot (not entirely sure how it would be!) but Adam Sandler's character fast-forwards through a coma in Click? Granted, everyone else around him still experiences it as 6 years and he just uses his magical remote control to fast-forward to the end of it, so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

  • Comas are used in many films and television episodes as a plot point. I searched "comas drama" and got this list from Internet Movie Data Base for "coma-patient and dramas":
https://www.imdb.com/search/keyword/?keywords=coma-patient

  • The genres range from romance to horror, so you may need to read each summary for more details.

There is an episode of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" about a young woman who was assaulted and left in a coma. When she wakes up, the detectives try to see if she can identify her attacker. This is typical of the use of a coma patient in a mystery or police drama.

I don't quite understand "long coma."

Long coma is this when the coma lasted for years.

IIRC there was an episode of The Visitor where the protag got a family father out of coma with psychic powers.
