Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. I think the Carlin example can be placed under a "Comedy" folder, and the Witcher example can be put in a "Video Games" folder. The other example can probably be deleted as violating IUEO.

Just to be clear, IUEO is not a ban on real-life examples, it's a ban on using the page as an Audience Reaction. Like for example, 90% of the wicks to Sturgeon's Law were tropers describing a work as part of the other 10% that isn't shite (in large part because for most of the wiki's existence it was part of the template for Fanfic Recs pages), but we changed it to IUEO, meaning that wicks now have to refer to a work itself expressing the opinion that the majority of some quantity of stuff is shite.

Found this under Pet-Peeve Trope:

As this is not an in-universe character, or an in-show statement, should this be removed as not in-universe?

This conversation would be better suited to Trope Talk (either the "Is this an example?" thread or a separate thread).
