Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

EDIT: And for more context on the Digimon Tamers stuff: ExecutiveMeddling.Anime And Manga:
- Ryo Akiyama being included in Digimon Tamers was the result of this, as Bandai insisted he be added to the story against Chiaki Konaka's wishes. Konaka retaliated by intentionally minimizing the role Bandai wanted Ryo to play in the story. Konaka also originally wrote Juri's father as a Yakuza member, but Toei refused.
The editor who put the original entry in also put in this, which I feel is too opinionated on top of being badly indented:
- No Export for You: In recent years, Toei Animation has been quite reluctant to license its work for foreign translation or re-release, with Sailor Moon having being hit particularly hard by this for quite a while. Given that the majority of their shows tend to be subjected to heavy amounts of editing and occasional censorship in foreign dubs (such as the above-mentioned 4Kids dub of One Piece), you can't really blame them.
- A similar situation occurred with the Transformers: Scramble City OVA. With companies either having to find ways to circumvent it (Sony using a commentary track for their release, while Madman Entertainment just used a low quality version to bypass the licensing process) or being flat out denied the chance to use it in the case of Shout! Factory. It's also the reason why Transformers Zone has never been officially released in the US.

First this contradicts itself. Toei was perfectly happy with letting licensors censor their anime. If they didnt mind with One Piece (Which the entry even admits they forced upon 4kids) I doubt they would mind if they edited Digimon Tamers. And the grammar is kinda weird here.
