"Dutch" means Netherlands for Dutch Media (so it belongs there), but means the language for Dutch Literature (so it doesn't belong there).

^ That's confusing. Shouldn't the former be called Media from the Netherlands or something?

Yeah, that’s exactly my point. Both of these pages have a clear description of what is covered, which is different, but a shared naming convention which implies that they work the same. Dutch Literature is even listed on the page Dutch Media.

It may be Dutch Literature that needs a discussion. Dutch Media is in line with all the other "media from country" indexes (e.g. Romanian Media, South African Media, Thai Media, Brazilian Media). There are a lot of little sub-indexes that are less monitored and this looks like one of them.

Dutch Literature, German Literature, Spanish Literature and French Literature (literature in this language) are also at odds with English Literature (literature by authors from England). Don't have time to do a deeper dive on this topic, but anyone is welcome to start a project thread about it.

^I feel like this might need to be taken to Wiki Talk before Projects, since hashing out whether these types of indexes should be named after the works' countries of origin or the works' original languages sounds like a discussion worth having, at least for cases where the same word could refer to either a nationality or a language.

I think I'll go ahead and lock this to nudge further discussion to the forums (regardless of whether it's taken to Wiki Talk or Projects), especially because longer discussions like this tend to be a bad fit for ATT.
