looks more like the person is trying to justify the character and making everyone else look bad, at least to me.

It's also incredibly poorly written, both as an example and also grammatically.

... also a whole lot of victim-blaming there.

So, while this is a mess of victim blaming and awful grammar, US examples don't get cut just for taking an icky side of the argument.

What they can get cut for is for not actually describing how fans feel, and I'm pretty sure most fans don't blame the entire Todoroki family for the abuse that Endeavor put them through. Rei gets some blame for scarring Shoto, but that has nothing to do with this example. Also, as mentioned, it's not really a US example, but a UU example, because all it does is talk about the rest of the family not being sympathetic.

So while we should probably discuss at the cleanup instead of here, I vote to cut.

The extremely short version of the story is that yes Endeavor is indeed abusive and there's no excuse for that but a)he did not actually force his wife to marry him and have children against her will like Shoto had initially assumed (Shoto is the youngest of four so by the time he was born everything had already gone to hell) and b)the whole family is blaming themselves for Touya turning villain. The manga doesn't go "oh it's also their fault for this reason" but rather "x character believes that this is also their fault, and this is why they think so".

Dunno if this will change the decision, but I'm just adding context.
