I read a Ya book series awhile back about a super computer which meets a guy (a teacher ) and is waging war against an evil corporation.
The guy created a virtual woman in his video game the computer uses to bring to life as it's agent.
The main bad guy initially seems to be this fat dude who uses a chair but it's revealed he's actually a patsy and actor for the real leader of the evil corporation whose his butler.
One of the teacher's students also has a terminally ill sister who is later uploaded into the cyber space by the computer to save her life.
Their were around 5 maybe six issues. Each with an anime 2D style cover.
