Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

We've had a discussion on the meme stuff here
but there's no actual consensus to do anything about it.
1. Memetic Mutation are weird, but recognized exception to Example Indentation in Trope Lists. They follow own formatting of "* Meme ** Successor memes / further mutations". We don't have sufficient discussion yet to enforce one format or the other besides of what's standardized currently. Since it's been brought up a lot, it probably has to be addressed in the forums and the result put at Example Indentation in Trope Lists.
2. These are indexes and not examples. I don't recall there being a standard for those. But Franchise.A Song Of Ice And Fire is not a Memes page, so it shouldn't be on Memes.Live Action TV. Should there be Memes.A Song Of Ice And Fire, grouping would be reasonable to me, but otherwise I'd prefer to keep it alphabetical.

Greetings. Can I have your input on two issues with indentation?
1)
Memes.Stranger Things — editors are specifically asked to use this template:
Please add entries in the following format:
This seems to go against rules listed on Example Indentation in Trope Lists. Wouldn't this format make more sense?
Curiously, the page actually has examples of what I consider both good and bad formatting of example indentation.
OK:
NOT OK:
Suggestion to correct:
2)
My second question is about indexing series that are sequels, prequels or spin-offs, what have you.
On Memes.Live Action TV, we have this:
This current listing (above) looks like violatiion of our policy.
Correct way to index it, we should have this (the same level of indentation):
Or perhaps this (but it might not index the subpages properly):
Thank you.
