Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
FWIW, I've gone ahead and removed the entries altogether.
Edited by gjjones He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Hello, everyone. I've spoken to a moderator regarding my edit ban, and it has been removed. Under the condition that on top making sure I don't act so recklessly, I must sort the whole mess by editing the whole thing in a way that makes it more appropriate. Here's what has been approved by the moderator.
It didn't really feel like something worth correcting in Edit Banned, but I think Playing Against Type can be condensed further. We don't need a full rundown of how angelic the guy is, just a concise description that's different from the standard.
- Playing Against Type: He's generally known for playing sociopathic or ruthless villains, but he has occasionally voiced exceptions. One example is Re:Zero's Kenichi Natuski, a loving Family Man.
The specific villains are covered in Typecasting, so we could just say "as mentioned below".
Everyone look at my sandbox^^ Referring to other examples or parts of the page like that is not allowed. Examples need to say on their own everything needed to understand how it's an example. Furthermore, the other examples/parts of the page can change and render the leftover reference nonsensical. This is stated in How to Write an Example.
Edit: Ninja'd.

back in January, i cut
all the tropes from Kellen Goff's page because they were all various forms of misuse. in April, 227someguy
decided to add some back
. one of the examples, Typecasting, was originally added
by this same troper, which means 227someguy has committed an edit war.
seeking consensus to re-remove all the restored examples; Large Ham and Typecasting are general, the first bullet on Playing Against Type is a ZCE, and the second bullet doesn't seem strong enough to qualify (and even if it does, it can go on the page for the work).
e: link fixed, thanks
e: someguy has been reported for edit warring
before, though no action was taken in that instance.
