I don't see anything rude in the edit reasons or at least they don't come off that way to me.
Edited by MacronNotes Macron's notesWell, they shouldn't be holding convos in edit reasons, but I don't think this one crosses the line. Not seeing anything in their PM's that breaks our rudeness rules, either.
For the record (as it should not be on us to find evidence if you're accusing a troper of something), you can directly link to earlier edits by putting "&more=t" before the # sign in the URL (like this: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Friends.TropesAToE&more=t#edit29536193
, I'm assuming this is the Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male entry you're talking about). I also don't think you needed to send a notifier for an edit that was over a year old. People's editing skills can change a lot over a year; it's best to check their recent edits if you believe they have a persistent problem.
^ The link doesn't directly take you to it when it doesn't have the "&more=t", modifying the link by putting that in there will make the link directly take you to it, as you can see if you click on the link Synchronicity made. I believe I also told you this while trying to explain why it happens in an earlier query.
I apologize you found me condescending. I tried explaining to you three times that it wasn't an expy example but you refused to believe me. I don't believe I should have gotten a notifier for someone else's entry that I was merely crosswicking, but you did point out that I could have deleted the word craft which is true. As for the reason you are reporting me, I was trying to prevent an edit war in case that troper tried to readd the statutory rape bit a third time.
Edited by LadyErinNYFor the record, pertaining to the Characters.Young Sheldon Other Characters page, I don't know if this qualifies as an edit war or not.
The troper, Faunas, the Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Characters.YoungSheldonOtherCharacters#edit33774963
Thecarolinabull 01 then deleted this line, "given the potential statutory rape aspect to it" with the edit reason that in Texas the age of consent is seventeen. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Characters.YoungSheldonOtherCharacters#edit33775495
Two days later faunas added statutory rape in parentheses. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Characters.YoungSheldonOtherCharacters#edit33793612
I did not think it was an edit war. Sometimes people do forgot or don't think so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I did want to make sure that they knew that they had already been told that it wasn't statutory rape so they wouldn't readd it. I was blunt but I was not rude.
Unfortunately, I have scoured the main page for Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male but I don't think it show who made the entry in question, but I maintain I did not make that entry that was corrected, I only crosswicked the two of them while adding my own at the bottom. That being said, I recognized before and now that I should have cleaned up the word craft.

I understand I have probably undermined my point by thinking you uncommented the zero content I hid and sent you a notifier for it. And I apologize for that. I admit I can be quick to judgement espically when I am angry. I explained about the expy being wrong, other people said that example was wrong, you refused to listen. I am sorry that you felt that I was rude about the Friends entry but as the mods pointed out it was years ago and it wasn't even my entry. Not to mention in the end, I even agreed with you that I should have deleted the word craft.
I would also like to know what it wrong with only deleting things? I am editing just as you are.
EDIT: I am sorry for the four entries. I thought it better to split up my responses to avoid a wall of text, but I should have just edited my first post, instead of making this one.

Earlier today I was looking at some of the edit history of Characters.Young Sheldon Other Characters; I sometimes do that when a page I'm following is edited, which happened today
, though I usually check about a few edits. While doing so, I found an edit reason
from another troper and I was wondering if it was rude, more specifically on the first part (i.e. "As you were already told,..."). What do you all think?
I would have sent a rudeness notifier. However, that was because of a couple experiences with said troper. When I sent her a Administrivia.Word Cruft notifier a while back for a Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male entry on Friends.Tropes A To Enote , she started claiming she crosswicked it and basically blamed whoever originally wrote it, or at least it kinda came off that way. Another time, she gave me this condescending explanation over the trope Expy. (I can't directly link to the edits in question which caused that to happen, though they both were made on Characters. The Bad Guys Movie.) The reason I didn't report this earlier? I was unsure if it was rude or not because some text-based messages don't always come off the way they're supposed to. In fact, that may apply to the edit reason I mentioned earlier, which is why I wanted to ask you all what you think.
EDIT: I gave this a better title.
