For future reference, they've changed

  • Channel Hop: Paramount distributed the movie during its premiere. After it flopped, they decided not to renew distribution rights. Warner Bros. then added the movie to their library after buying the production company, where it belongs to this day, and went on to produce two further adaptations of the original source material (the 2005 film and 2013 West End musical).

  • Channel Hop: The movie was originally owned and released by Paramount Pictures. Today the film is one of the most cherished family films ever made, one would argue it is held in nearly as high regard as The Wizard of Oz, but that was not always the case; when the film first came out in 1971, it did get good reviews from critics, but it cost $3 million to make and only brought back $4 million, plus Ronald Dahl hated the movie to the point of disowning it. These two factors resulted in Paramount declining to, renew the film's copyright in 1977, but 20th Century Fox saw the potential the film had. Since they were the only studio that expressed interest, Paramount sold them the exclusive rights to the film for $500'000 and Fox began airing the movie on television frequently. Once home video hit the scene, the film's popularity continued to skyrocket. When it was re-released to theaters for it's 30th anniversary, it raked in $21 million, seven times it's original source budget!
which've got reverted.

You're being vague, if it's not the only inaccurate edit of theirs, you have to link them and which facts they've got wrong, because nobody is going to play a detective. And on both points of inaccuracy and not italicizing, you just need to PM GodzillaFan1954 yourself, you can't assume they're "attempting to make it inaccurate" unless you ask them.

Also while at it explain which facts of Willy Wonka they've got wrong, because with a quick google search shows it's pretty accurate, though irrelevant to Channel Hop and should have been split up between other tropes.

Whatever the accuracy of that edit, the grammar is poor; they've twice misused "it's" in place of "its", misspelled Roald Dahl's first name as "Ronald", and used an apostrophe instead of a comma in the number "500,000". The comparison to The Wizard of Oz is also weakened by the weasel words "one would argue". And as Anonimus observes, the additions are irrelevant to Channel Hop anyway.

At any rate, I've sent them a grammar notifier.

^^ I think the biggest inaccuracy seems to be the implication of 20th Century Fox as its new owner - the film's production company was bought out by Warner Bros., and they've owned the film ever since.

Hence why '80s onwards prints of the movie begin and/or end with the WB logo. Googling "willy wonka 20th century fox" with no quotes didn't turn up anything confirming that the latter owns it.
