Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I know nothing about Apex, but these sound like maybe The Scrappy and Take That, Scrappy!.
Acceptable Targets scope is too much of a mess for me to comment on it.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThere was another query today that was related to Acceptable Targets here
.
Acceptable Targets is not YMMV (no idea when that change happened), and it's an index, so either they need to be deleted outright or moved to a subtrope and the main page.
EDIT: Where is the thread that made Acceptable Targets no longer YMMV? I can't find it in the forums.
Edited by ArctimonI think Acceptable Targets was removed from YMMV because the previous TRS thread made it and its subtropes IUEO for a while and had their YMMV status removed due to that, but since we overturned the decision to make them IUEO, I'll add Acceptable Targets and its subtropes back to YMMV.Home Page. I think whether to make them objective (probably without being IUEO, since it was overturned because we didn't know how to interpret it) should be decided in a future TRS thread, if someone makes one.
Edit: Here's the thread
. It was kind of a mess.
Since they're back on YMMV.Home Page (since the reason they weren't added back was due to an oversight on the thread's part), they belong on YMMV pages for now. As I said, another TRS thread would be needed to decide whether to make Acceptable Targets (as well as its subtropes) objective.
Edited by GastonRabbit You can't just say "perchance".Those all read like misuse anyway. I vote delete or rewrite as e.g. Tier Induced Scrappy (I know of one example where an item is TIS because of behavioral stereotypes about players who tend to use them).
Edited by StarSword Trust me, I'm an engineer!

I am admittedly not 100% clear on how Acceptable Targets works, but I felt like these examples from YMMV.Apex Legends needed to be brought to attention given that they seem to be more centred on how the fanbase feels about certain things within the game or community rather than examples of the creators intentionally poking fun at real-life people, groups or ideologies.
Once again, I might be wrong and these examples may be perfectly acceptable. I just wanted to check with someone who has more knowledge on the Acceptable Targets trope rather than jump to conclusions.
