In 5th grade (2013-2014) we watched a cartoon in class about two anthropomorphic animals, one of them a red fox IIRC and the other one maybe also a fox, dealing with a bunch of trash. The only specific moment I remember is that one of them remarks that they should instead "become one with the trash" and the other is bemused by this. The moral of the story might've been, like, reduce reuse recycle, or something along those lines. Might have been an Earth Day Episode, which would probably explain why it was being played in an elementary school classroom. I assume the cartoon was probably American and/or Canadian, since I don't remember the characters having accents significantly different from my own. The cartoon was also relatively modern, probably from earlier in the 2010s, given that it was animated in Adobe Flash or Toon Boom or some other program.
I searched through all the pages I just linked, along with their Wicks, and the only decent candidate I've found so far is Skunk Fu! It has the right animals, the right accents (despite being an Irish show), and the fox character is reportedly a Deadpan Snarker. The title also sounded vaguely familiar. The two caveats are 1. that I don't remember the artstyle being lineless, though that's not exactly a deal breaker and 2. that the episode summaries on Wikipedia don't seem to say anything about an episode revolving around trash.
