Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Their creator page also contains this gem (along with some copious praise for themselves):
It's quite a few red flags out there.
Edited by laserviking42 I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose me^ Yeah, that's not a good look. And even ignoring its description, that creator page is unnecessary since they only have one work with a page so far.
And yes, most of Clean Zone is ZCE, not to mention Example Indentation issues, not using curly braces to link single-word tropes, and using the ` accent instead of apostrophes throughout the page.
EDIT: I cutlisted the Funny/ and NightmareFuel/ pages.
Edited by ZuxtronThere was a notifier sent on July 1st, but it appears they've already crossed Edit War territory.
CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsWas he suspended? Because I found this:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?parent_id=113880&type=att
Followed up by this:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?parent_id=113881&type=att
And he un-commented out almost all the ZCE examples troper/Zuxtron put in. (i.e got rid of the "%" marks).
Edited by skan123Aaaaaand... ZCE percentages begone, re-removed by the same guy just 5 minutes ago
.
Erm, what's that thing called again?
Edited by RobertTYLThat's what I was saying. When I confronted him over it:

So to sum up, not only do we have an Edit War, but there's a big chance we have a sockpuppet among us.
Edited by skan123MRR has been suspended for edit warring over commented out Zero Context Examples.
Edited by MacronNotes Macron's notesNot sure what you mean. There's no sockpuppeting going around unless MRR has another account on the wiki. They may or may be the webcomic themselves but that's not a reason to ban them by itself.

According to this link, the MRR troper who posted it admitted to me he was one of his "fans".
I don't know for sure if this is genuine meatpuppeting or rather MRR himself under another account, but surely this arises suspicions.
Edited by skan123If this truly were a fan, I doubt they'd choose such a similar name to the creator instead of at least "MMR Fan" or something. Plus it's way too soon after the creator got kicked so even if it's a different person, it'd probably be an example of meatpuppeting. Maybe a mod could check the IP?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Again, sockpuppetting means some account got suspended, and another account was made by the same person. If there are no similarities to any other troper there's nothing to do here. Besides maybe cutlisting Creator.MRR as a stub page with immature writing.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSkan, you're thinking of meatpuppeting, not sockpuppeting.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall

So new-ish troper MRR
made a page for their webcomic,
and in the midst of it they were making a lot of zero-context examples. So on July 1st, I commented a few of them out, noted that they had zero-context, and sent them a notifier.
On July 4th, they proceeded to unhide all of the examples I hid without adding more context and then added even more to the page.
They also made their own Funny/ and Nightmare Fuel/ pages, but that's secondary to the edit war that's going on.
EDIT: They also made their own Creator page
, which...seems a little off.
