Right, Hartman Hips isn't just about having wide hips and a thin waist. It's about these proportions being used to represent older women.
Ok, I get your reasoning, but there is one thing I wish to point out. There are a couple of male examples of this trope listed on the page, and Braylovsky themselves said that it could apply to men if they were ‘very obvious cases.’ So if there can be both male and female examples, why not a genderless example? I’m not trying to start an edit war or anything like that, I was just curious since Mewtwo definitely meets all of the physical requirements (wide hips, narrow waist and chest).
P.S. This is off-topic, but I just wanted to let Zuxtron know that in spite of them describing the trope as being used to represent ‘older’ women, quite a few of the listed entries refer to teenagers.
"There are a couple of male examples". These should be removed then.
Hartman Hips's definition limits to "animated woman" specifically, either Hartman Hips has to go through Trope Repair Shop or non-female examples have to go elsewhere. What "Braylovsky said" is irrelevant.
And yes, the definition doesn't have "older women" as a requirement.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^^ Then I assume that male examples like this must be removed.
I get there is a bit of work to do.

All the way back in 2014, I pulled an example on Hartman Hips that listed Mewtwo (the genderless, barely-humanoid pokemon). It read as follows.
Mewtwo, despite being classified as genderless and leaning on the masculine side, has pretty big hips while having a small waist and shoulder line.
I just got an inquiry from a troper named Gamer Boy 18 that asked me how it isn't a valid example.
I don't like it when someone sets themself up as the curator of a particular trope, so rather than answer with authority I'm posting it here.
My logic is that since Hartman Hips is about a particular style of drawing female characters and it isn't female, it's not valid.
(Also, it's rather strange that I got an inquiry about an edit I made back in 2014 when the subject hasn't been brought up since then)
