There's one case I can see it making sense: talking about all the occurrences in a specific medium. If it's talking about a specific entry, then it's assuming nobody will ever remove that entry from the linked page. And if it's not talking about the specific medium, then why the subpage?

For example, I could see it being used in the sentence "this is an actual tactic." That would be fine as long as it's not Natter. Most other cases (e.g. "This is deliberately reminiscent of Soviet military strategy") would be bad practice and should probably be removed.
