Synchronicity MOD (4 Score & 7 Years Ago)

Careful:

  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor doesn't mean their popularity wanes. It means they got fired from something as the result of a single incident.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy means the controversy has to be the thing they're associated with in public consciousness.

Yeah, in this case its more like some of the audience noticed something distasteful about the creator that put them off of them.

Bump.

I've been thinking it over, and maybe Unfortunate Implications might work? Would I have to drastically alter the wording in the above link?

Bisected8 MOD (Primordial Chaos)

I'm not sure UI would apply.

It's by definition for things that the creator didn't think through within the work, not an actual issue with the creator themselves.

Yeah, his issues are almost definitely deliberate. I think in one vlog he made an absurd statement that The Wheel of Time adaptation was communist propaganda.

Would Dethroning Moment of Suck be applicable or is that only for when its a singular instance?

I think this is closer to Issue Drift and Filibuster Freefall - though I don't know the creator you're discussing, you mentioned personal biases "bleeding into" the work, which fits the second trope.

Thanks that second one might be what I was looking for. Is it a YMMV trope?
