I sent Ferret Bandit a PM about their use of Plot Hole for apparent complaining. Didn't link to this ask yet.

I think the second is just poor example indentation, not conversation (it appears to be talking about a different Plot Hole, not the one listed above). I'm not sure it's actual Artistic License, though (I'm pretty sure UV would be somewhat reduced, and it's not clear from context if they actually needed to have zero UV or just less than normal).

For the Until Dawn examples, those definitely need some cleanup. A lot of them are about coincidences, characterization or unspoken assumptions. There might be a few that actually count, but most of them don't meet the standard of being actually impossible.

For the record, Until Dawn isn't actually part of the Anthology. So they may just dislike the developer's games in general.

Fair point, I should have specified Supermassive rather than the Anthology (of which only House of Ashes had any edits).

Heard back from Ferret Bandit. They deleted the non-impossible examples from Until Dawn, and accepted that Plot Hole didn't belong on an Awesome subpage. So I think we're okay to start cleaning up the misuse on the other pages.

Sorry for the late reply, real life got a bit hectic. Looking over the changes to the Plot Hole page for the Until Dawn examples I think most can be cut or reverted (these are the same as what's still on the Until Dawn page). In order:

  • The first example was pre-existing and FB just changed the wording to be more compaining. Changing it to the original wording might remove that but I think the entry might actually not count. The issue is that late in the game the playable character comes across a room featuring every character who has died in the game so far and comments about their being lots of bodies, however depending on player choice there might only be a single body. It's definitely not a Plot Hole in my opinion, but it is definitely something that I can't put my finger on right now.
  • The next example is similar in that the surviving characters talk about going back up to the Lodge to meet with the others, even though it's possible that all other characters are dead at that point. It doesn't feel like a Plot Hole, more like poor editing on the parts of the dev, but a second opinion would be appreciated.
  • Third one is just complaining that the police weren't involved in the backstory of game, but it just makes a lot of assumptions about things that are never directly stated. Incidentally the prequel does cover that part of the backstory and does show the police getting involved. At best this is Fridge Logic
  • Fourth one is complaining about how the first antagonist couldn't setup all the traps, then complains about their being an hour time skip where all of this setup actually happened. It comes off more like Fridge Logic, but it's definitely making a lot of assumptions that aren't in the text of the game.
