I reacted a bit to the style of the original entry. Swearing isn't prohibited on the wiki, but we don't normally use swear words unless there's a good reason for it. The main rule is that examples should be written i normal prose, and "fucked his shit up hard" certainly isn't that, even if you disregard the swear words - it's basically modern street language, and not really appropriate for a discussion of classical mythology. Also, the italic font for "hard" is unnecessary - the word "hard" itself adds enough emphasis.

Language aside, it does sound like misuse for the reason you mentioned.

I wasn't sure if it was an example myself, but wanted to at least add context to the entry. (Depending on the myth it was either a favorite tree he cut down, or a tree that harbored a nymph.

Maybe under Beware the Nice Ones since Demeter first asked him to stop and he basically told her to shut up and go away?

^^^^^ I completely agree, it just isn't suitable nor appropriate for examples, much less talking about Classical Mythology.

oh hey how are you doing?

I think Aetos also wrote the example as if it was going on a fandom specfic wiki, where it might be assumed all readers would know what was meant without it being spelled out. That's why examples need enough context for nonfans to understand them.

Definitely shoehorning. Based on the way they went about it, a couple tropers clearly had an axe to grind. Now that a mod has stepped in and issued a suspension, hopefully the message will be received.
