Edited by GastonRabbit You can't just say "perchance".(sigh) Another tropet added it
. I removed it and pointed out in edit reason: "This is about presentation, the game itself should be in either Smartphone Games or Video Game Generations: Seventh Onwards". I also edit the hidden note to make it specific about the presentation.
It's just occured to me... I breifly look up and turned out that the game sold very well. That would make it dusqualified as Horrible by our standard. May be that's why people complain about it in Presentation instead?
Edited by KuruniYeah, it was pretty much that, Kuruni. Hello, by the way...
As for why it sold well, that was part of my problem on why exactly I initially included it in the first place. Part of the reason why I didn't mention it either in the Seventh Generation Onwards or Smartphone Games areas was because it genuinely was a fine enough game on its own merits. As for why it's garnered so much money in early sales, Josh Strife Hayes made a video
(and an addendum
) explaining the entire situation on why the main problems with the game relate to its unbelievably wretched "microtransaction system". Basic gist of it was it forces players that want to finish it to either pay money in the six digit salaries or wait over a decade, if not longer than that to finish it without paying for anything. As such not only has its microtransaction system brought it to the lowest rated fan score ever for a video game on Metacritic with a 0.2 (as noted by YongYea
), but it's also mocked by a website parodying the system with fake money simulating how much time and money it could take for one (or more) 5/5 star gem(s).
Still, maybe this brings up a point where maybe something relating to microtransactions or other related problems like it should be mentioned to stop this loophole problem I inadvertently caused the first time around? Plenty of video games these days (especially in the smartphone spectrum) have awful, manipulative microtransaction systems that mainly cause players harm and businesses cheap, dirty ways to gain so much money in such little time. Perhaps Diablo Immortal is the breaking point of this problem at hand?
hi, Luigi, thanks for joining the discussion. 🙂
i think the microtransactions would at least warrant a mention under Broken Base, once the waiting period for that is up; the entry could contrast the abysmal review scores with the high amount of spending on the game as the opposite sides of the base. other than that, we have to tread carefully to keep complaining off the pages; while microtransactions are imo worth complaining about, the pages aren't the appropriate venue.
Alright, fair enough on that regard. I do appreciate Kuruni's extra note confirming not to include the microtransaction note in advance for that Diablo Immortal bit, by the way. Saves me some trouble on that regard. 😛
I think Scrappy Mechanic would be proper place if the game itself hold up fine otherwise.

Hours ago
, Crazy Luigi added lone three bullets entry to the part about Blizzcon 2018 in Presentations folder of Horrible.Video Games Other.
I sent them the indentation notifier and remove the entry since it's about the game itself, not the Blizzcon (said so in edit reason). They put it back
, at least without wrong indentaion this time.
