In this case I'm not advocating for it to be taken down, since Swift is a storyteller who uses songwriting as a medium. For example, I have "no body, no crime" stuck in my head right now, and it's a fictional Murder Ballad.
Although... cutting that page and moving the relevant WMG for the songs to their appropriate album might be a good idea.
Edited by annieholmesA quick skim makes throwing it on the Cut List and hitting the "Cut" button tempting, but if there's legitimate stuff regarding characters from her songs, I'd say cut the stuff about Swift herself while leaving the stuff about characters from within her music, and leave a commented-out note at the top of the page's source code saying that troping real people like fictional characters isn't allowed.
Edited by GastonRabbit You can't just say "perchance".There is actually legit stuff there about characters from her songs.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.Yes, and I was proposing leaving that and removing the stuff about Swift herself, while leaving a note at the top of the page to tell people not to put the gossipy stuff back. My comment about completely cutting the page wasn't intended to be completely serious, but I guess I didn't make that clear.
Edited by GastonRabbit You can't just say "perchance".Yes, although frankly I think that's a shame as they're funny and obviously nonserious.

I recently ran across Taylor Swift and I think the page needs a cleanup. While there are some valid theories and musings about the fictional characters Swift portrays in her songs, some of them get uncomfortably gossipy and speculative about her private life and orientation. I can clean it up myself, but do I need to take it to a thread somewhere? Cheers!
