Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
While there's some degree of manual of style, these are basically free chat areas and nobody has decided to come up with ways to moderate them yet.

We do have a cleanup thread somewhere, that I'm too lazy to dig up, but all we really cleanup there are basic things like It Just Bugs Me holdovers too bashy to actually be questions, meta questions that pertain to the real-life circumstances of the work and not the work itself, and duplicates.

So, the Headscratchers and WMG pages are generally not as formal as the other pages of works, and function a little more like forums. But does that mean that the writing isn't expected to be as formal, either?
I ask because I've run into some Headscratchers entries that are definitely less than formal. Not "How did Alice survive the explosion?" but instead "How in the hell did Alice survive that huge goddamn explosion?"
Is it okay to edit such entries, or would that be bowdlerizing?
